Welcome to Konna: My Equestrian Journey and the Inspiration Behind the Brand.

Hi there, and welcome to Konna! I’m Lizzie, the founder of this exciting new equestrian brand. I’m thrilled to share the story of how Konna came to life and what it means to me.

A bit about me: I’m 28, living in the beautiful countryside of Toowoomba, Queensland. By day, I work as an accountant and run an agistment centre, but my true passion lies in the equestrian world. I compete in Dressage (previously up to Prix St. George level), where I’ve learned not only the art of precision and harmony with my horse but also the importance of comfort and confidence in what I wear.

Over the years, I’ve faced the same frustration as many equestrians: the search for clothing that meets the unique demands of our sport. I wanted apparel that moves effortlessly in the saddle, feels great during long training sessions, and exudes style and professionalism in competition—all without an exorbitant price tag. But it wasn’t just about practicality. I also wanted to create a brand that reflects the deeper connection we have with our horses.

For me, riding is more than a sport—it’s a partnership, a lifestyle, and a way to express who we are. I envisioned clothing that celebrates this bond while giving riders the confidence to perform at their best. Konna is inspired by my personal journey—countless hours in the arena, managing an agistment centre, and understanding the dedication it takes to succeed in the equestrian world. It’s also inspired by the amazing people I’ve met along the way—fellow riders, trainers, and enthusiasts who share the same challenges and triumphs. At its heart, Konna was created to fill a gap I’ve experienced firsthand. I wanted to build a brand that puts riders first, offering clothing that not only meets our needs but also reflects the beauty and elegance of our sport. Whether you’re competing at a high level, working with young horses, or enjoying a trail ride, Konna is here to support your journey.
